Nothing here is finished by a machine alone. A rivière takes our setters nine weeks. A hand-raised jhumka takes a hundred hammer strikes before it is a shape at all, and two more days before it is a pair.
We keep four benches in Dehradun and three in Jaipur, and the same people have sat at them for a long time. That is the whole method: fewer pieces, made slowly, by people whose names are on the job card.
